Emphases/CurriculumCourse Work:The courses are comprised of lectures, workshops, and exercises focused on five major disciplines plus a transdisciplinary component:
|
Practical relevanceTeam ProjectStudents work in teams on a real mandate from a sport organisation (event organiser, federation, club, sport centre, etc.). The projects are completed in parallel to the courses. Some notable projects that MSA students have worked on in past years have been with Xtreme Verbier, Geneva Marathon, Athletissima, Lausanne Triathlon, Montreux Volley Masters, and Solar Impulse. Personal Project The dissertation is conducted by the student over a period of 8 weeks. The general objectives of the personal projects are to carry out an in-depth study related to a sports specific issue. The students have to either make a proposal of their own to the steering committee or take up a project that is offered. Internship Each student must complete an internship in a sport organisation over a minimum 2 month period. The AISTS will support the students with their internship search, but ultimately, it is the responsibility of the student to find an appropriate internship. A written report and evaluation report has to submitted upon completion. |

Study in LausanneThe geographical location of Lausanne could hardly be more picturesque. This, the Olympic capital, is built on three hills with the Lake of Geneva bathing its feet and a garland of vineyards around its shoulders.Clearly visible are the Alps across the water in which, weather permitting, glistens their reflection - a panorama not to be forgotten. The mediaeval town centre is full of small alleys and boutiques, cafés and restaurants. You can while away the hours in the vineyards or take advantage of other attractive excursions on offer. The cultural menu is extensive and many festivals are planned. That is the best time to find out just how much the French-speaking Swiss like enjoying themselves. Source: www.myswitzerland.com |
