Double degree
Together with our Australian partner USQ (University of Southern Queensland, Australia), our program gives you both a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from USQ, and an Executive MBA compliant with the new Bologna system in Europe, conferred by the HWZ.

International recognition

The MBA and the DBA are internationally accredited degrees recognised by the Australian government and AUQA.
The Executive MBA (EMBA) is accredited by the Swiss government. Both degrees are internationally renowned.
The MBA is an academic degree which qualifies graduates to enter the admission process for our DBA program.

International concept with local teaching
Our teachers have broad international experience. We have teachers ffrom Switzerland and Australia. The course language is English (lectures, written assignments and books). A study program in Australia at USQ or some other USQ partners can be arranged.

Concept of the MBA Program

The MBA Program consists of 12 courses, two courses per term, with a total of six terms (three terms per year)
The MBA Program is thus accomplished in two calendar years
The three terms are: Nov. – Feb., March – June, July – Oct.
Classes take place on Saturdays from 08:15 to 16:45
For each course, four lecture days at the “Sihlhof” are provided (for the whole MBA thus a total of 48 days plus one week abroad), complemented by e-learning support and independent study
The total study load for the MBA Program is about 1800 hours (1. year: 220 hours on-site, 300 hours assignments, 220 hours reading and learning; 2. year: plus 250 hours Master Thesis and 1 week abroad
Students should reduce employment to a max. of 80%

Part-time with an ideal location
The MBA and the DBA are part-time programs (max. 80% workload recommended). Courses take place in the heart of Zurich - a three-minute walk from Zurich's main train station. Classes take place only on Saturdays (08:15 - 16:45). Courses are dedicated to a premium group, not the masses. Half of the courses are axamined by HWZ professors and the other half by USQ professors. Class size: max. 34 students.

HWZ
HWZ is Switzerland’s largest and oldest university of applied sciences exclusively offering part-time educational programs for business studies. It is privately organized and indepen-dent. Our 1‘900 students are business professionals and most of our 400 lecturers have a double appointment at HWZ and in the business community.

Study in Zürich

Zürich ist im Herzen von Europa gelegen. Die Stadt am Zürichsee mit Sicht auf die Schweizer Alpen ist in nur 10 Minuten vom internationalen Flughafen aus erreichbar. In Zürich ist eben alles etwas kleiner - umso grösser ist das Angebot.

Das kulinarische Angebot lässt keine Wünsche offen. Ob Sie Lust auf typisch schweizerische Speisen haben oder ob Ihnen nach internationaler Küche zumute ist, Zürich beherbergt Esskulturen, von hoher gastronomischer Qualität. Ein vortreffliches Weinangebot, eine Vielzahl von Bars und Trendlokalen und die typischen Strassencafés und Gartenwirtschaften runden das Angebot ab.

Den Nachtschwärmern stehen alle Möglichkeiten offen bis in die frühen Morgenstunden, denn am Wochenende sind über 300 Lokale auch nach Mitternacht geöffnet. Sie haben die Wahl zwischen einer Vielfalt von Parties und Clubs, wo In-DJ's der Welt Grooves von House, Techno über Latin bis Acid Jazz auflegen. Und wer's gern etwas ruhiger hat, findet dies in einer der zahlreichen Open-air-Bars (im Sommer).
